The number of sessions needed, does vary by person and there are several factors which affect how many sessions are needed, such as colour, age of tattoo & tattoo site. You can expect to see a reduction after the first treatment, however it generally takes 6 – 8 sessions, with intervals of a minimum of 8 weeks. In some clients, more sessions may be necessary for complete removal.

Skin type is a fundamental effecting factor in this treatment as due to the high level of pigment in the skin. Pain tolerance is very individual from person to person. Most people describe the sensation as similar to tiny pin pricks.

All skin types can be treated safely & effectively with the diode laser.

A carbon lotion is applied to the skin which deeply penetrates the pores. Once the lotion is s applied, the ND:YAG Q-Switch laser is passed over the skin, lightly ablating the old surface layer of the skin and heating the layers below. While laser energy breaks up pigment and targets acne, heat stimulates the production of collagen.

Yes. Any hair follicle that is successfully destroyed, will no longer have the ability to grow hair, however everyone has dormant hair follicles, which can be stimulated at any stage in life. This means new hair can grow, so it is recommended to have a top up session yearly, to keep any newly stimulated follicles at bay.

The results of Cryotherapy with the Cryopen are typically long-lasting, with treated skin imperfections often not returning. However, new lesions may develop over time, requiring additional treatments as needed.

Unfortunately, laser is only effective on brown to dark hair. It is not effective on blonde or grey hair, this is due to the lack of pigment present, which is what laser is attracted to.
